Every 2026 Equinox ACTIV is powered by a 175-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with 203 pound-feet of torque. In front-wheel drive models, that power is sent through a continuously-variable transmission, or an eight-speed automatic on all-wheel drive models. Equinox is as efficient as it is powerful, it is also efficient. The EPA rates the 2026 Equinix ACTIV with front-wheel drive at 27 MPG combined, while all-wheel drives are rated at an estimated 26 mpg combined.  

Drivers and passengers alike are also protected by the great features that make up the Chevy Safety Assist suite of safety features.  These features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Following Distance Indicator.   

Recently, the CarPro website reviewed the 2026 Equinox ACTIV and said it was an “exceptional” vehicle at a “really terrific price point.” In their editors’ words, it is also a great value overall, no matter f you choose between front- or all-wheel drive.
