Performance
The Trailblazer comes standard with an ECOTEC 1.2-liter turbocharged inline-3 engine producing 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, or an optional ECOTEC 1.3-liter turbo inline-3 that makes 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. Both engines put power to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and a 9-speed automatic with the 1.3 and all-wheel drive. No matter which engine you choose, this small crossover will get excellent fuel mileage.
With the 1.2-liter motor, the EPA estimates that you will achieve 28 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Opting for the front-wheel drive 1.3-liter engine will achieve 29 city and 33 highway, with the all-wheel drive model getting 26 and 30 city and highway mpg.
Front-wheel drive is standard, however, all-wheel drive can be optioned on all trim levels.
When properly equipped, the Trailblazer can tow up to 1,000 lbs.
