Performance
All models of the 2024 Blazer, except for RS, come standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that produces 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque that achieves an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, respectively, in front-wheel drive form. With all-wheel drive the highway drops by just 2 mpg.
Optional on 3LT and up, and standard on the RS is a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The EPA estimates the naturally-aspirated V6 will get 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway with the city mileage dropping by only 1 mpg when buyers option AWD.
Both engines use a 9-speed automatic transmission to put power to wheels.
With the trailering package (optional on FWD and standard on AWD models), the 2.0L front and all-wheel drive models can tow up to 3,250 lbs and the 3.6L FWD and AWD can tow up to 4,500 lbs. Without the trailering package, both engines are able to tow 1,500 lbs.
Exterior
The Chevrolet Blazer features LED headlights with daytime running lamps and LED taillights. A two-toned black roof is optional for an even sportier appearance and feeling.
New for 2024, is Riptide Blue Metallic, which can be optioned on all trims as a no-additional-cost color option.
2LT and 3LT models get standard 18-inch Grazen Metallic wheels with a number of 20-inch wheels as optional. RS and Premier receive 20-inch wheels as standard with various styles optional as well as an available 21-inch wheel.
RS models receive a unique gloss-black grille with silver accent and RS badging. Premier gets an all-silver grille.
Interior
The interior is appointed nicely and welcomes drivers and passengers of all sizes to get comfortable. Sliding rear seats all for extra leg room or cargo capacity. Without the rear seats folded, the Blazer has 30.5 cu.ft. of capacity. With them folded, that number grows to 64.2 cu.ft. The EPA-measured total interior volume is 107.8 cu.ft.
The RS and Premier trim levels get a heated steering wheel as standard and both trims can also be obtained with the Enhanced Convenience Package. This luxury package includes memory settings, rear outboard heated seats, driver and front passenger ventilated seats, and a power tilting and telescoping steering column. Heated front seats are now standard on all models across the range for 2024.
All models also include Active Noise Cancellation to help keep unwanted harshness outside of the cabin.
As stated before, all passengers will have ample room no matter where they sit. The interior dimensions in inches are:
- Headroom with sunroof F/R: 38 / 36.8
- Legroom F/R: 41 / 39.6
- Shoulder room F/R: 59.1 / 58.6
- Hip room F/R: 55.6 / 54.2
Technology
Standard on the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer, the Chevrolet Infotainment System includes a 10.2-inch multimedia touchscreen. Navigation is standard on RS and Premier while optional on 3LT. A WiFi hotspot is standard and can be used with an AT&T plan. Standard on RS and Premier and available on LT models is a wireless charger.
A power-programmable liftgate is available on 2LT and standard on 3LT, RS, and Premier. RS and Premier also get a hands-free liftgate. With your keys on you, simply kick your foot under the rear bumper and the tailgate will automatically open for you. Kick again to close the tailgate.
Safety
All trim levels feature Chevy Safety Assist that includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and IntelliBeam automatic high beams.
Adaptive Cruise Control and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking are available on all trims. Extra features are included in the Driver Confidence package which is available on RS and Premier models. This package features: HD Surround Vision, Rear Camera Mirror, Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, and Safety Alert Seat.
To aid in safety for young and new drivers, the Blazer features an industry-first Buckle to Drive that mutes the audio of the radio until front seat occupants have put their seatbelts on.
