When going to buy a new car, people often focus more on the in-car infotainment than anything else. More people are focused on what kind of sound system and infotainment screen their vehicle has than how it looks. An infotainment system can completely make or break the love one has for their vehicle. Sometimes the best cars can’t overcome a frustrating user interface for the manufacturer’s in-car technology. Chevrolet, however, has made sure that not only do their cars feature some of the top safety and driver-assist features, but they also have an incredibly easy and intuitive infotainment system.

Annual Best Infotainment

Autoblog.com is one of the largest automotive review and news websites, and every year they review a bunch of infotainment systems and choose their favorites in various categories, including such as best overall, best luxury, best non-luxury, and a couple of honorable mentions. This year, they happened to pick the GM infotainment system as one of the best on the market.

Best Non-Luxury Infotainment

Choosing the Chevrolet infotainment system in the non-luxury category seemed to be an easy task for Autoblog. Basically, they loved that it just works. It doesn’t try to make you feel ridiculous or force you to spend 3 hours attempting to figure out how to turn the station or access your phone.

What Autoblog Said

When speaking about why they chose the Chevrolet system, Autoblog said, “Beyond the Google Built-In features, GM’s interface is an easy one to navigate with easily understood stickied controls on the left side of the screen. We’re particularly big fans of the radio interface GM has designed that makes it one of the easiest in the industry to find the station (or game on Sirius XM) you’re looking for. The tile interface and split-screen capability makes moving about the system and keeping tabs on multiple things at once a breeze. And just like the Volvo infotainment, we appreciate the continued presence of a hard volume knob and in some cases, a physical home button that’ll bring you back to square one from anywhere within the system.”
