2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV

Performance

The 2026 Silverado EV is the most potent all-electric truck available. It offers up to 760 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque in the Wide Open Watts Mode (WOW), which gives it a 0-60 mph time of less than 4.5 seconds.    

The 2026 Silverado EV LT trim offers 645 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque. It can tow up to 12,500 pounds and has a payload capacity of 1,800 pounds. The LT trim also benefits from the Wide Open Watts Mode (WOW).  

The Ultium EV platform integrates the batteries with the truck’s structure, providing a robust and rigid basis for the EV. An available adaptive air suspension system offers up to two inches of ride height adjustment, and wheel sizes range up to 24 inches. Chevy also offers four-wheel steering, and the truck comes standard with a tow/haul mode and other trailering tech.  

Charging is lightning fast, as the 2026 Silverado EV can reach speeds of up to 350 kW, adding 100 miles of range in just ten minutes. It’s also available with a vehicle-to-load function, which lets the truck charge other EVs, power external electrical equipment, or act as an emergency backup generator for a home during a power outage. Owners can access the MyChevy app, which offers navigation to charging stations, vehicle status, and more.   

Exterior  

The 2026 Silverado EV’s novel architecture enabled a completely new look and design. The shape is vaguely reminiscent of Chevy’s Avalanche truck from the early 2000s, as it features a slanted C-pillar and more substantial bodywork than most traditional pickups. It’s a functional shape that Chevrolet said helps channel air more efficiently down the body sides, reducing drag and improving efficiency. The truck is available only in a crew cab configuration with four full-size doors, and the front and rear overhangs are shortened for a more aggressive look.   

The 2026 Silverado EV has a five-foot, eleven-inch bed, and the Trail Boss and LT trims have an innovative MidGate system that opens additional storage between the cab and bed. In the front, the truck offers a lockable, waterproof front trunk (frunk), and the LT and Trail Boss models have Chevrolet’s useful Multi-Flex Tailgate, which lets it carry items up to 10 feet, 10 inches long.   

Interior   

The crew cab 2026 Silverado EV seats five people, and its second-row seat is pushed rearward to open more space for passengers over six feet tall. Interior storage is generous, with over seven gallons of center console space in the Trail Boss model, and the truck has customizable spaces that makes carrying small items much more secure. A 40/60 folding second-row seat lets owners move large cargo items while retaining a passenger seat.   

Technology  

The 2026 Silverado EV WT is equipped with an 11-inch infotainment screen and an 8-inch digital gauge cluster. There’s an available 17-inch touchscreen, 11-inch gauge cluster, and 14-inch head-up display. The feature-rich infotainment system runs on Google Built-in, which brings Google Maps, the Google Play Store, and many other features. Chevrolet said the system has a new software platform that enables rapid over-the-air updates and allows the automaker to add new features over time.   

Safety   

On the 2026 Silverado EV, Super Cruise will be available for some configurations, bringing hands-free driving functionality for use on limited-access highways nationwide. We’ll also see Chevy’s advanced driver-assist package, which has forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warnings, and more.
